Every company starts somewhere. For us, it started with a simple observation: the most interesting things happening in technology right now are happening at the edges — the intersection of AI and creative work, autonomous systems doing real things in the world, decentralized infrastructure that actually works.
Agentic North Labs is our attempt to build thoughtfully at those intersections. We're based in Ontario, Canada, and we're small by design. Small means we can move fast, stay opinionated, and build things we actually care about.
What we're building
Our focus is on three areas:
AI systems and agents. Not chatbots — systems that reason, plan, and take action. We're interested in multi-agent architectures, task automation, and AI that integrates deeply with real workflows rather than sitting on top of them.
Creative technology. AI is changing what's possible for makers, artists, and builders. We're building tools that augment creative work — not replace it. There's a meaningful difference, and we think about it constantly.
Emerging platforms. Blockchain, decentralized identity, and composable infrastructure are still early. We're building for a web that is more open and more user-owned.
Why north?
Partly because we're Canadian. Partly because the north as a concept resonates with how we want to work: deliberate, durable, built for conditions that aren't always easy. There's a kind of clarity that comes from operating away from the centre of the noise.
